Healthcare in 3D Terms and Phrases
Continuous Variable (R programming language)
— A variable which can take on the value of any number as opposed to a
factor in the R language
that is a discrete list or categorization of values. For example (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) would be a discrete list or factor, but (1 – 5) would be continuous. In the later 2.5 would be a valid value in the range, but in the prior it would not.
