  • Deduction — Reasoning conclusions from known information. The reasoner begins with a premise, known information and seeks to draw a conclusion. Often used for predictive modelling and decision support. For deductive analytics, the past is the only way to predict the future, causing potential bias limited in scope and/or range (breadth and depth). Accountable care programs are deductive, drawing information from the ecosystem that reflects the inherently biased goals of the entity performing the analysis.
